Champagne is a sparkling wine that has been particularly associated with luxury and celebrations. This wine is a mainstay at weddings and is often used to toast the newlyweds. It is also found at parties for promotions, or at birthdays. The bubbly drink originated in the Champagne region of France.

When champagne is poured into a cold wine glass it forms bubbles. The bubbles are brought about by escaping carbon dioxide, which is caused by the double fermentation process. Champagne is best served chilled. A champagne cooler is a quick way to chill the beverage without the use of ice.
